Juan Sinmiedo (real name Juan Guillén) is a Spanish singer, composer, pianist, actor and playwright born on February 1, 1968 in Cartagena, Murcia, Spain. He has participated in numerous musicals in his native Spain from the mid-Nineties, and has also worked as a musician under the pseudonym Juan Sinmiedo ("John the Fearless"), a famous character from children's books. His big break came when his first eponym album ("Juan Sinmiedo", Red Rat, re-released in 2000 by Arcade/Sony), co-written and produced by José María Cano of Mecano fame, was first released in 1999. He has since produced a second album in 2004 ("Mujeres Sinmiedo"), which is a collection of duets with famous Spanish-language female singers (Victoria Abril, Rossy de Palma, Mercedes Ferrer... amongst others) released through his own label and more recently has released a digital single ("Cartagena") and EP ("Jean Genet") in 2013 and 2014.
