Steve Runkle

A native of North Carolina, he became a talented singer-songwriter and musician in Nashville. His musical career included stints as a vocalist, songwriter and bassist with a number of acts including David Olney And The X-Rays, David Ball (3), and The Contenders (6). He is best known for writing the No. 1 country hit "Love Song" for The Oak Ridge Boys. He passed away in August 2001.
