Об исполнителе:
A native of New York, Robert came to Chicago and discovered a nearly non-existent club and party scene. Being an entrepreneurial-minded person, Williams decided to use his people skills and the club experience to create something unlike anything Chicago had ever seen. The result was the legendary club The Warehouse whose doors opened in 1977. Robert found a location and commissioned the help of another New York native, Producer and DJ Frankie Knuckles. It wasn’t long before the Warehouse was filled with people for every party. Robert had figured out how to get people there, and left Frankie to keep club patrons entertained with non-stop music that turned the dance floor into an orgasmic and emotional place. He later owned another famous Chicago hot spot club called the Music Box with the late Ron Hardy as the resident DJ. The Music Box was not in existence for as long as the Warehouse but it was just as popular among the House Music crowd. By the late eighties both clubs had closed their doors, but the feeling, atmosphere and music live in our hearts forever.
