Norm Pringle

Canadian-American broadcaster, songwriter, engineer, producer, and publisher. After WWII he began a career in radio and was a disc jockey at a number of Canadian radio stations in Calgary (where he hired Leslie Nielson), Vancouver and most famously at CKDA Victoria (where he discovered Tommy Hunter (2)). He moved to Hollywood in 1958 with his wife Elsie Pringle and their first child. It was there he began his career as a sound technician and recording engineer. He founded Pringle Music and Garlin Records / Garlin. He worked at Western Records, General Music Corporation and retired from Warner Brothers in 1993. In 2008 he was inducted into the Victoria Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Born December 9, 1923 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Died March 17, 2012 in Calabasas, California, USA.
