American vocalist, clarinetist, baritone saxophonist and songwriter, best known for his work with Tommy Tucker And His Orchestra. Born in July 27, 1905 in West Virginia. Died May 10, 1975 in Boca Raton, Florida. He worked with Tommy Tucker's orchestra from 1933 to 1945. He also made a few recordings with Tommy Dorsey. He also was the vocalist on "Pettin’ In The Park" by Adrian Schubert’s Orchestra in 1930 and played clarinet and saxophone as well as sang with Henry Lange and His Orchestra in 1931. Most of the songs he sang had a novelty or humorous side to them. He copyrighted a version of "The Cadillac Song" by Curtis Lewis (3), adding new words and calling it "Follow the Sun" in 1959. Not affiliated with a song agency but IPI # under BMI is #40306628. He was also apparently a ninth generation descendant of George Washington.
