Originally from Drummondville (Quebec, Canada). Initially the band is called "The Black Devils" and consists of Michel Lavigne (solo guitar), Marcel Flamand (rhythmic guitar), Robert Charron (bass guitar) and Adrien Laflamme (drums). During an engagement at St. Joseph's Parish Hall, the band met Bobby Leclerc, who became the lead singer of "The Black Devils". Subsequently the band decided to change their name to "Les Diables Noirs". In 1964, the band signed a recording contract with Denis Pantis and recorded a 45RPM: "Bien Trop Timide", a cover of Johnny Hallyday's hit and "Surf Board". In the summer of 1964, Bobby Leclerc left the team and was replaced three times, first by Yves Jacques, then by Roger Saint-Martin and finally by Simon Parenteau. Soon after, the drummer joined another band and was replaced by Serge Simard. The group disbanded at the end of 1965.
