Enzo Jannacci and Giorgio Gaber decided to form a duo in late 1958, after having worked as musicians in the previous group Adriano Celentano; Gaber already has a contract for the Dischi Ricordi, and it is precisely because of Milan's new label that their two affecting 45. Musically, the genre is the nascent rock'n'roll, with some exceptions more melodic as Il Cane E La Stella, but what unites all the songs are recorded texts, and always humorous, sometimes forerunners of crazyrock (Una Fetta di Limone, which participated in the Six Days of the Song). In 1960 also affected two flexy-disk, titled Come Facette Mammeta (a classic Neapolitan song humorous) and Non Occupatemi il Telefono, released in conjunction with the magazine "Il Musichiere"; after the duo split, mainly due to the emergence of Gaber as soloist, and also Jannacci began his career as a songwriter. In 1972 they published all the songs on 45 are enclosed in an album. In 1983 the two decided to record four old songs, using the pseudonym Ja Ga Brothers, included in the mini album Ja-Ga Brothers, published by CGD on July 21, the name of the pseudonym chosen by Jannacci and Gaber for this album comes from Blues Brothers, which mimic the two songwriters on the album cover. Following the two artists have collaborated on many other occasions, such as the live album of Jannacci, 30 Anni Senza Andare Fuori Tempo, where they reinterpreted Una Fetta di Limone, or 1991 for the song's La Strana Famiglia, included in the Jannacci's album Guarda la Fotografia.
