José Arturo Giolito

"Giolito" was an influential Chilean band leader, percussionist, drummer, songwriter, singer and musician. Son of José Giolito (drummer on Federico Ojeda Y Su Orquesta), he was born on 21 May, 1932 in Concepción, and died 24 november 2008 in Santiago. After playing in the 60s with Ritmo y Juventud, Los Primos and Pat Henry y Sus Diablos Azules, in 1968 he founded his own band, Giolito y Su Combo and was drummer on orchestra from TV show "Los Sábados Gigantes" (led by Valentin Trujillo).
