Bill Spangenberg

Barbershop bass vocalist. Bass of the 1950 SPEBSQSA International Champions, the Buffalo Bills. Formerly a truck driver and church choir soloist from Buffalo, NY. Performed with the Buffalo Bills from 1947 until his retirement in 1962 and was replaced by Jim Jones on bass. Performed on Broadway with the Bills and in the 1962 film of the Music Man. Appeared on the majority of the Buffalo Bills’ 15 record albums that they released over the years. In 2016, he was given in an honorable mention in the Barbershop Harmony Society’s top ten best basses of all time. Born on June 25, 1907 and died on March 20, 1963 at the age of 55 after a long illness.
