Vern Reed

Barbershop tenor vocalist. Tenor of the 1950 SPEBSQSA International Champions, the Buffalo Bills. Formerly an executive for a Towanda Boys Club from Buffalo, NY. Vern sang with the Buffalo Bills from 1947 to 1967 winning the gold with them in 1950 and performing on both the Broadway and film versions of the Music Man. Vern was one of the main soloists of the groups singing solos on almost all of the Buffalo Bills’ albums. In 2015, he was named one of the top ten best barbershop tenors of all time by the Barbershop Harmony Society. Born on September 9, 1918 and died on January 25, 1992 at the age of 73 after a long illness.
