Stefano Zandri

Stefano Zandri is an Italian model and singer born 4 June 1962 in Nova Milanese, Italy. Originally the frontman of the Den Harrow project, secretly lip-syncing to the voice of Tom Hooker, Zandri later started singing himself and adopted the project’s name as his stage name. Zandri re-recorded some of songs that were originally sung by Tom Hooker, but also continued to lip-sync to Hooker’s voice on stage. As the result of a personal conflict between Hooker and Zandri, Hooker released a video in 2010 in which he, with original producer Miki Chieregato sitting besides him, declared that he was the actual singer and that Zandri from that date no longer had his permission to use his voice. In 2012 Zandri admitted that he did not record any of Den Harrow’s songs, but he continues to make public appearances using his own voice, as he has re-recorded all of the project’s hits after taking voice lessons since 1998.
