Revolution Riot is a rock'n'roll/hardrock/punk/sleaze band from Sweden. CURRENT MEMBERS; Glitz - Vocals/Guitars Johnny Sinn - Guitars Tommie Riot - Drums/Vocals Fisch Riot (real name: Wilhelm Fischerström) - Bass/Vocals Hailing from the suburbs of Stockholm, Sweden, REVOLUTION RIOT is a combo, which combines the flare of the ’80s with the attack and rawness of the punk-era. It all started back in late 1990s when guitarist/vocalist Glitz and bass player Sleazy Texas decided that they wanted to form a group which played the kind of music they grew up with and loved. The first line-up of the band didn’t last long and it wasn’t until they were joined by drummer Tom-E (3) that their ideas started to develop in the intended direction. Their first studio session together, in April 1998, was recording a song for a MOTÖRHEAD-tribute. They decided to do the song "Poison" and the result came out quite well. In July of that same year their first demo, It’s Not A Trend, It’s A Lifestyle was recorded. Early 1999 saw the addition of one more guitar player, the dreadlocked Skinny (4), and the band began to perform live on a regular basis. The gigs earned the band a reputation as one of the best live acts around the Stockholm area. In September 1999, Sleazy decided to quit and the search for a new bass player began. In November a new bass player was found, EAZY. So, in January 2000 the guys once again returned to the studio to record their second demo entitled HELL YEAH!!!- This demo was the one that made Feedback Boogie Records release their first full-length CD,Revolution Riot - Out Of The Gutter, Into The Light, in April 2001. The year started out well for the band with among other things an appearance on Swedish national TV. But shortly after the CD was released, bass player Eazy left the band. Once again in need of a bass player, they found Wilhelm Fischerström, who fitted the band like hand in glove. Revolution Riot kept their live shows tight and were playing live all over Sweden, due to bad distribution of the album they never made it to foreign countrys. Their second album Revolution Riot - Blues For The Spiritually Retarded was released in September 2005 and got great reviews through out Europe. In 2006 Skinny (4) declared that he wanted to leave to fully focus on his other band Deathstars. Sad to see him go they once again started the search for a fourth member. After a long time looking and a few failed atempts they found Johnny Sinn, former guitarist of Sister Sin. With a complete lineup they began doing gigs and writing new material. But once again things changed as mainstay drummer Tom-E decides to quit! After almost a decade in the band he wants to work on other project. There were no hard feelings from the band as they were thankful for all he had donee for Revolution Riot. Finding a replacement was for once easy as long time friend of the band Simon Becker was available and gladly took the job. The band continued working both live and in the studio. One gig at small club, Pub Anchor turned out to be something out of the ordinary. Before the show none other than Australian rockstars Airbourne came in during Revolutions soundcheck asking if they could be the opening act for the night! A bit shocked RR gladly accepted the offer and since Airbourne didn't have any instruments they borrowed the swedes. The audience that night got to see something special as Airbourne did their job as an opening act in a small club! A few weeks after the unusual Pub Anchor gig the line up changed again in RR! Simon Becker had lost his passion for playing and wanted to quit. The one who replaced him was none other than original drummer, now goes by the name Tommie Riot! The Circle was complete and the band is now even more motivated to carry on to play and get the third album out.
