Cowboys Became Folk Heroes

Cowboys Became Folk Heroes was a five-piece screamo band from Lakeland, Florida. They were active in some form or another from 1999 until the mid 2000s, releasing only five songs on a split CDr with fellow South Florida screamo band Hello Space Cowboy (with Kevin playing drums with both bands). These five tracks, along with an unreleased track recorded in 2005, were released on a discography LP in 2008. [u]Members:[/u] David Turbeville - Guitar, vocals Kyle Conklin - Piano, vocals Curtis Brown - Guitar, piano Kevin Clark - Drums John Boutwell - Bass Only the above five members played on recordings, but Jeff, Josh, and Will D. were also in the band at various times. Members went on to play in Now It's Overhead, Summerbirds In The Cellar, The Deep and Holy Sea, Seven White Cats, and Sweet Skin.
