Jake Simpson

Jake Simpson is from the small town of Crocker, Missouri. He attended Southwestern Missouri State University (now Missouri State University) in Springfield and performed locally with the 4 Jax, an 80s cover band (1999-2003) that included Jake Simpson (lead singer and keyboards), Justin Ward (guitar), Donnie Inman (bass), and Bart Kelley (drums). His singing career took off at age twenty-eight after he placed #1 in the Adult Singer category in Arsenio Hall’s 2003 Star Search television show. He received an award of $100,000 and a recording contract with Sony music, which resulted in his first CD (“Jake Simpson Star Search Winner”). Simpson has also worked in the research and development offices of the Rhodes Music Corporation and is a passionate advocate of the classic Rhodes electric piano sound.
