Leif Bigert, Huddinge, CEO and owner of Swedish record companies Toniton AB and Sound Of Scandinavia. Leif grew up in Söder, Stockholm as the second youngest child of five. He started playing music at Sofia ungdomsgård. Together with the brothers Sten Linderoth and Bengt Linderoth, they befriended a young Vicky von der Lancken, who had then moved up to Stockholm. In the early 60s, the group "Blue Clinters" was formed, where Bengt and Sten were guitarists. Leif was a singer and took the stage name "Larry". "Larry and the Blue Clinters" got gigs at youth clubs, folk parks and talent competitions. In 1963, the "Blue Clinters" were playing at Nalen almost every Saturday in "Harlem". Leif Bigert was singer and band manager, who got the group many gigs. His brother Sten Bigert was a songwriter. Their first single was reviewed in the leading music magazine of the time, "Show business". Working with "Blue Clinters" led to Leif starting his own gramophone company, called Toniton. The company was revamped into Sound of Scandinavia with artists such as Freestyle, Boppers, Peter Holm and Paul Paljett. At its peak, the company had 115 employees, but after a bankruptcy the company was shut down and Leif retrained to become a real estate agent in Huddinge. He died at the age of 76 - his obituary was published 2019-08-05 His closest relatives were his partner Birte, daughter Tina and family, three siblings (incl Kerstin Kvint and Sten Bigert).
