David Mulhallen

Mullhallen was born in Plymouth, England and emigrated to Australia in 1973. He has a long experience in radio broadcasting. He retired from the ABC after a successful & varied career spanning 22 years in ABC Radio. He is best known for his work as a music producer and presenter as well as event entrepreneur and record producer. For the major part of his career Mulhallen has been involved in the recording and presentation of folk music, both Australian and overseas including Anglo-Celtic, Multi-Cultural and Indigenous Aboriginal. He has also produced recordings of jazz groups, big bands, light orchestras and rock bands. Mulhallen is a freelance consultant working in music and the Arts. As well, since leaving ABC Radio in 1996 he has continued his commitment to radio broadcasting and in particular the promotion and presentation of Folk music by voluntarily producing and presenting programs for community ethnic radio.
