1774

1774 is an electronic dark ambient project from around Utrecht, the Netherlands. The members, As. and Hæresiarch Sr, started in 2007 after reading 'Die Leiden des jungen Werthers' from J.W. Goethe. The atmospheres and titles from the first tracks are inspired on this impressive book. Despite Dutch being the primary language of the members, all titles are in German, since this was the language of Goethe. In time, 1774 shall also create tracks inspired on other subjects, not only on Goethe's masterpiece. There currently aren’t any physical releases, although there is a free download with four tracks available through their MySpace. 1774 also contributed to the Kalpamantra compilations "Chenrezig" and "Tamanui Te-RA", as well as the "Seven Deadly Sins - INVIDIA" compilation which in turn is a part of the "Seven Deadly Sins" compilation series
