The ManSound group was created in December 1994 by the talented composer and arranger Vladimir Mikhnovetskiy (1963-2004). As the brain of the group and its ideological inspirer, Vladimir was able not only to create a unique group of its kind for Europe and the CIS, but also to bring it to the world level. Today ManSound are experts in the a cappella genre, the leading vocal brand in Ukraine and the countries of the former USSR. Over the years of its existence, ManSound not only popularized acapella ensemble singing, but also inspired many young musicians to create new creative groups. Throughout its history, ManSound has taken part in more than 70 festivals around the world, from Alaska to Kamchatka, from Hong Kong to Norilsk. To participate in the iconic Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival (USA), the musicians were repeatedly invited personally by Lionel Hampton himself. The band's luggage also includes the Best Vocal Group nomination at the All American Entertainment Awards (2001, Branson, USA), the Grand Prix at the Vokal.Total international acapella group competition (2002, Graz, Austria), the ShowBiz Award for The best jazz group in Ukraine (2005). All of the band's recordings, whether individual compositions or entire albums, were nominated for the Contemporary A Сappella Recording Awards (CARAs). After the death of the creator and artistic director of the ManSound group, the VOCAL ZONE vocal festival named after Vladimir Mikhnovetsky was organized. Currently, VOCAL ZONE is the only acapella festival in the entire territory of the former USSR and one of the most interesting musical events in Ukraine. Among its guests are musicians from all over the world. In 2006 ManSound recorded their version of the Ukrainian anthem in a jazz arrangement. The recording was attended by Evgeny Filatov (The Maneken) and the State Academic Orchestra "Alexander Fokin's RadioBand". In 2007, the group sang the anthem live on the First National Channel at the opening and closing ceremony of the Independence Day of Ukraine on the main square of the capital. In January 2011, ManSound represented Ukraine at the presentation "500 days to Euro 2012", which took place in the building of the European Parliament in Brussels. In addition to colorful Ukrainian melodies and world hits, the group also performed their own version of the Euro 2012 anthem. In March-April 2011, the ensemble gave 15 recitals in Taiwan and two master classes in Hong Kong, expanding the geography of their concerts. In September 2011, ManSound became the endorsers of AUDIO-TECHNICA microphones in Ukraine, having signed a contract with the Jazz Club company. In addition to direct activities within the framework of ManSound, musicians are in demand in other areas of the musical sphere. They are invited to sound cartoons and commercials of the world's leading companies: Pixar, Disney, Unilever (tm Lipton), life :), etc. In 2009, Coca-Cola Ukraine invited musicians to sound the Ukrainian version of the Christmas advertising campaign. This event became a truly unprecedented action, since all over the world videos were shown exclusively to the music of Elvis Presley.
