Swedish rock guitarist who was a co-founder of rock band Toni Lee & The Fenders in 1962. In 1963 they changed their name to The Beatchers and won a contest at Pildammsparken which shot them to stardom. They recorded an EP in 1964 before changing their name to Namelosers the following year. They had a hit single with "New Orleans" and recorded two more singles that year. Despite multiple line-up changes, only Andersson remained from the original line-up in 1967. Andersson would following the split of Namelosers join Gothenburg band The Shakers in the autumn of that year, staying with them until July 1968. His musical style was largely inspired by Pete Townshend of Pete Townshend, following a trip to London with Christer Nilsson (3) in December 1964. He influenced Namelosers to emulate the Who's style, incorporating feedback and fuzz into his playing. Together with Per-Olof Alm, he coupled several fuzz-boxes to get a raunchy, primal tone on the flexi-disc only song "Do-Ao" which has proved influencial for the punk movement.
