Hailing from the Diné Nation and emerging from the underground indy rap circuit, Def-i’s eclectic repertoire has provided him with much success and opportunity; MC, Producer, Artist-Educator – Def-i has been featured on Sway In The Morning, NPR, BBC, Van’s Warped Tour, Democracy Now!, HipHopDX, RT America, AJ+, PBS, & more. Rounding out this diverse musical powerhouse, Def-i is an experienced youth workshop provider, active community member and has served as a US Cultural Ambassador in Nigeria. For the past decade he has worked with educational entities from all levels, teaching creative writing, song recording, the art of beat making and the fundamentals of one of Hip-Hop's core elements. Recently in the 2021, he helped raise over $700,000 for New Mexico Food Banks via virtual concert.
