Joannes De Gruijtters

Carillonneur, organist, violinist and serpentist, born in Ypres (Flanders), 1709. In 1740 he became city carillonneur of Antwerp (Brabant), a position he held until his death in 1772. He is best known for leaving a manuscript (dated 1746) with compositions and arrangements for carillon. His son Amandus followed in his footsteps.
