Об исполнителе:
Australian songwriter, music producer and mixing engineer. It’s a rarity to see a Writer/Producer gain as much credit as Jean-Paul ‘JP’ Fung has in the few years that he’s been standing behind the desk. The likes of Silverchair, Jet, Birds Of Tokyo, Little Red, 360, Bluejuice, Josh Pyke, Jinja Safari, Art Vs Science, Theophilus London, Washington, Last Dinosaurs and Reece Mastin have all included JP’s name in their liner notes. 2015 has already seen JP prodigiously Co-writing and producing a raft of Australia’s finest emerging talent including Lime Cordiale, Iluka, Nova & The Experience, Sex On Toast and Love & Other Crimes. He’s also managed to jump behind the desk for new recordings by the legendary Cold Chisel. It all began for JP at Sydney’s renowned Big Jesus Burger (BJB) studios where the first three years of his career was spent cutting his teeth as an in-house engineer. Since then he has worked internationally, learning from some of the world’s finest producers including Kevin Shirley, Chris Coady, Richard Wilkinson, Eliot James, Scott Horscroft, Eric J Dubowsky, Paul McKercher and Wayne Connolly. Whether it’s recording a live band to tape or spending the time to craft a precise pop masterpiece, JP knows how to get the best out of his artists. Such a dedicated approach did not go unnoticed when in 2010 JP was invited to Göthenburg, Sweden to work on Birds Of Tokyo’s hugely successful eponymous album. It also spawned an ongoing relationship between JP and the band, teaming up again for the 2015 certified Gold EP “Anchor”. 2011 saw JP produce and engineer Last Dinosaurs’ much lauded debut album “In A Million Years”, with critics effusive in their praise of the Triple J Feature Album. With an equally firm focus on songwriting, JP’s ever-increasing network of songwriting collaborators includes Audra Mae (Kelly Clarkson, Avicii), Don Walker (Cold Chisel), Megan Washington, Reece Mastin, Nash Overstreet (Hot Chelle Rae) Little Sea and Samu Haber (The Voice Germany).
