Frank Sanchez

Guitarist born in Corozal, Puerto Rico on May. 20, 1919. He started by playing in popular Puerto Rican quartets, Mayari Quartet and Marcano Quartet from 1944-46. Joined Payo Alicea Quartet in early '47-'57. Went out on his own in 1957 and founded his band La Plata Sextette, with the same format as the aforementioned La Playa Sextet. He disbanded in the 80s.
