Northern Towns

Short-lived rock band from San Diego, California, active 2008 to 2009. Formed by singer Daniel Sant, guitarists Mark Smith and Tommy Garcia, bassist Brandon Hays, and drummer Nick Lennen. Sant, Smith, and Lennen had all previously been bandmates in Swindle and Palpatine (Sant was also formerly of Over My Dead Body), while Garcia and Hays had played together in As I Lay Dying (Garcia was also ex-Drug Wars, and Hays ex-Ivebeenshot). Following a four-song demo, they recorded the A-side of the Good As Gold 10" in June 2008, after which Lennen left the group; Jason Perry (6) played drums on the B-side of the 10", recorded that autumn. It was released on Swagger City Records. Gabe Cross (formerly of Cheap Sex) became the band's new drummer, and they released a double 7" split with British band Sharks (12) on Swagger City.
