Marie Curie

Marie Skłodowska-Curie (1867-1934) was a Polish-born French physicist and chemist, especially famous for her work on radioactivity in conjunction with her husband Pierre. In 1903, she became the first woman to be awarded the Nobel Prize (in physics), and in 1911 became the first person to win a second Nobel Prize, this time in chemistry.
