Brazil Very Happy Band
Настоящее имя: Brazil Very Happy Band
Об исполнителе:
"Brazil Very Happy Band" was a backing band created by Gilberto Gil to accompany him to the 2nd World Festival of Black Art and Culture (Festac '77) held in Lagos, Nigeria during Jan/Feb 1977 . This compacto (single), released in 1977 by Polydor, is the band's only studio recording. Influenced by the Black Rio movement and even more by African culture after going to Nigeria, Gil and his band decided to try new sounds mixing funk with African and Northeastern music. The result is evident not only on this single, but on his album “Refavela” , recorded at about the same time. "Brazil Very Happy Band" featured Perinho Santana on guitar, Cidinho Teixeira on keyboards, Rubão Sabino on bass, Djalma Correa on percussion and Robertinho Silva on drums, while technicians Julinho and Chocolate are also credited.
