David Mazmanian

Dave "The Maz" Mazmanian was a Canadian radio broadcaster, manager, record company executive and promoter (29 October, 1947 – 17 June, 2017). He worked at various radio stations starting in 1967 with WCFL in Chicago and then in 1970 moved to CHUM in Toronto. In the early 1970s worked for Harry Hinde Productions. Joined Capitol Records (Canada) Ltd. in 1972 as Product Manager for Love Productions Limited, moving to the A&R department in 1973. In 1977 he helped launch radio station Q107 in Toronto. In 1978 co-founded production company Armedia Communications, initially producing radio and TV commercials, then branching into music video production and by 1985 was working in partnership with Vestron Music Video. During the 1980s was also an instructor in the Radio Broadcasting Program at Humber College in Toronto.
