Koichi Oki was a Japanese electronic keyboard musician. He was employed by Yamaha in the early 70s to promote their Electone organs. He's also father of Yuichi Oki, a keyboard player of the Tokyo Sky Paradise Orchestra (東京スカパラダイスオーケストラ). Born in Osaka Prefecture, in the year 1940. In 1966, while attending the special music course composition department of the Faculty of Education, Osaka Kyoiku University, he won the first prize in "Dead Leaf" at the 3rd Yamaha Electone Competition. Since then, he has released numerous works such as the planning board such as, "Electone Fantastic" series and "PLAYS GX-1" series, while also playing an active part overseas and having the nickname "Mr. Electone". He is a top player in the jazz organ world. He has developed fascinating performance activities at home and abroad, and the intense soul beat that overflows from his performance always engulfs the audience in a whirlpool of excitement, and he is predominant as a top player in the jazz organ world.
