Fons Matthias Hickmann

Fons Hickmann is a designer, author and professor of graphic design at the Arts Academy. In 2001, he founded the design bureau Fons Hickmann m23 and began developing projects, exhibitions and publications around the world. He is a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale, the TDC NY and the advisory council for interdisciplinary projects at Bremerhaven’s Designlabor. His books include “Touch Me There” and “Beyond Graphic Design”. His publisher has said, “Fons Hickmann thinks in concepts instead of styles. He is provocative and forges new paths. He continues to ask questions when others would be content. Not only does he show his work, which has won many international awards, he also opens our eyes and stimulates us to design in ways off the beaten path”.
