Eric Friend

Sound designer, engineer, musician and composer in Austin, Texas. Friend grew up in Michigan and moved to Austin, Texas in the early 1990s. He played keyboards and toured with the band Spoon for several years and also joined the reunited band The Reivers on keyboards. He opened audio post-production/recording studio Friendo Sound In 2009, now known as Optical Audio. Prior to this, Friend had worked in post-production, recording and editing for Richard Linklater’s Detour Filmproductions and Mike Judge.
