Kevin Hunter (6)

Canadian singer, songwriter, record company executive, producer, promoter, and manager born in Montréal, Québec. Started singing at age 8 with his own show on Montréal radio. After minimal success as a singer, he moved into promoting and booking, notably booking The Beatles' first performance in Montréal in 1964. He then moved into management with the Wilson-Garden Agency and helped launch the career of The Bells (2) after becoming their manager in 1967. In the late 1960s he founded and ran the Apollo (5) label. After it folded he discovered and signed Natalie Cole in 1972 then moved to the US in 1974. Passed away in 2015.
