Retired electronics engineer and musician in Inlet Beach, Florida. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri. 2/07 - 6/12: Self-employed Studio/Operations manager for 30A Radio, WTHA FM in Seaside, Florida. Duties included maintenance of all broadcast and studio equipment and operational training. Engineered a radio show for the students of the Seaside Neighborhood School every Friday when school was in session, called “Shark Bites Live”. Produced and hosted a live radio show every Friday afternoon from 5:00 to 7:00 called “A Box of Chocolates”. 2/92 - 2/07: Self-employed technical engineer in Nashville, servicing recording consoles and automated moving fader systems, refurbishing older Neve consoles and modules, designing studio interface layouts, wiring studios (low and high voltage), and providing consultation for equipment acquisition. As an audio engineer, involved in many projects including mixing live venues, recording songwriter’s demos, artist’s demos, and master recordings. In 2001 moved to Florida and continued to service studios mostly in the southeastern region of the US and mixed live venues locally. 12/87 - 2/92: Siemens Audio Inc. Western Region in Los Angeles. Technical Services Engineer responsible for installation, commissioning, and warranty repair (component level) of over 100 Neve consoles and moving fader systems, and providing technical services to 200+ studios from Washington State to California. This included all technical and operational training. 1/87 - 12/87: Westlake Audio. Field/bench service engineer for Westlake’s sales division. and maintenance and session preparation for Westlake’s two Beverly Hills studios. 8/85 - 12/86: Soundcraft Electronics in Santa Monica, California, and Soundcraft USA in Northridge, California / JBL Professional Distribution. Import Q.A. inspection and repair of all aspects of all Soundcraft mixing consoles. 4/82 - 10/84: Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, Inc. Recording and manufacturing high quality prerecorded cassette tapes. Involved in half speed lacquer disc mastering for audiophile record releases and digital transfers for compact disc manufacturing. 3/80 - 12/81: Member of The Beach Boys road crew, responsible for the care, maintenance, repair, and tuning of 47 guitars (17 during live performances), as well as all guitar and keyboard amplification equipment and various outboard gear. 1970 - 1979: Musician playing folk, country, jazz, blues and rock, in groups as large as 10 pieces or solo performances with an acoustic guitar. From 1976-1979 was in The C.Y. Walkin’ Band.
