The multi-talented artist POiNT lives in Marseille, France, where he make an intimate music, made of urban sounds he picks up in the street, or takes from his ever growing collection of toys pianos, bells, metalophones, meow boxes and other clink clink and electronische maschines... As an accomplished photographer, his music reflects his visual aspirations as much as it is alive in his photographies and installations. Things are going even further when POiNT soundtracks his own body-performance onto movie. "The track Racolage refers to my easy listening/brain storming side, when tracks like Sub Incision are more of a personal experience, and Random Instants illustrates my left field, Panique. Panique is like a bridge I try to do between my body research and destructured sounds. I use the silence as instrument mixed with the sounds of the busy street processed with bizarre toys... and it's the schizo who operates music for POiNT's body performance... It is a bit like a personal therapy, that ends up taking over me, my pictures, my body and at the end, POiNT. It's a whole thing, and there are less and less fragmentation in between all those mediums. In fact, Panique makes sounds for POiNT...." As always, he is currently working on various projects, like his photographies (which you can see online at pointphotographisme.free.fr) body-performances, music, of course, including one piece created from chess movements, and mainly, his special blend of deep electronic music, where POiNT and PANiQUE reunite to conspire together...
