German pianist and composer born in 1975 in Hannover. He began piano lessons at the age of seven. He studied at the Hanns Eiseler Music conservatory in Berlin, the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, and received a masters at the Jazz Institute Berlin. In Columbia he studied marimba and the Chocó music with its West African roots.
