Об исполнителе:
Owner of bootleg label Ozit-Morpheus Records. Father of Tom Hewitt (sound engineer). He started promoting bands as a student and sold tickets for the Bickershaw Festival in Wigan in 1972, and was involved in arranging the Deeply Vale festival in 1976 to 1978. After working at record shops and studios he started manufacturing bootlegs labelled a.o. Ozit Morpheus from his home in 1991. With the help of his son, most of the output has been unlicensed and disputed recordings without approval from the original artists or rights holders. Peter Hook has denounced their Joy Division releases as "bad bootlegs". In an interview he has claimed to be associated with John Peel, Captain Beefheart, Thin Lizzy, The Fall, Tractor. Since most of these artists were deceased at the time, these claims haven't been corroborated. He owns a warehouse with studio equipment in Wincham, Cheshire.
