Maria Markesini is well known outside the Netherlands: Her collaborations with international soloists such as Richard Bona, Bert van den Brink, Candy Dulfer, Mimis Plessas, the Klazz brothers, Ennio Morricone, have repeatedly brought her into the spotlight. Her concerts with major orchestras and conductors have also received much press coverage, such as the Prague Symphony Orchestra, the Hungarian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Elbland Philharmonic Orchestra, the Trier Symphony Orchestra, the Presidential Philharmonic Orchestra of Turkey, Bayerische Philharmonie Munich. Her special style is jazz related. Maria currently lives permanently in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, together with her Dutch husband. Her latest release is a special one: a gospel album.
