French pianist and composer (born September 23, 1876 in Paris, France – died September 26, 1939 in Fontainebleu, France) Also known as Camille Decreus or Decreuse, De Creus studied with Raoul Pugno at the Paris Conservatory. In 1906, he had his solo debut. Later, however, he mostly toured and recorded as piano accompanist to his wife, violinist Renée Chemet and Belgian violinist [a922565]. Around 1924, De Creus became Director of the American Conservatory in Fontainebleau.
