Hugh Walpole

Born in Chicago but longtime resident of Springfield, Missouri. While attending Glendale HS, Springfield, MO, he joined his first band, "The Shades." While attending Drury University (Springfield) he honed his musical skill playing piano, organ, guitar and electric bass. As a songwriter he wrote for Si Simon and recordings licensed by BMI internationally. Hugh worked with such musicians as; The Planets, Lavender Hill Mob, Blue Monday, Vicki Self, Kirk Brown, Louie and the Seven Days, Dean Billingsley, Truck, Tears of Joy, Keith McCormick, Wayne Carson, The Bluesberries, The Unknown Band, The Ringers, and Johnny Patton. Hugh Walpole died December 13, 2010.
