Drummer (1965 - 5/1/2009) Best known for his work in 80's metal band Taramis and later Clauz. It was the birth of the heavy metal scene in Melbourne and while bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest were doing it internationally, bands like Ion Drive, Axe Attack, Prowler, Black Jack, Heresy, Tyrus were creating a strong selection of great heavy metal bands to see in Melbourne. The following of these bands was like a big family of 100 or so. Around this time, Dave drummed solidly with Rapid Fire and various garage band incarnations with Wooley, John Gun, Duane, Cam and many other cameos. Rehearsals were endless, into the wee hours at Helmet's music studios in Ringwood on most Saturdays, and anywhere else they could find to jam. Dave became known throughout the Australian heavy metal scene. Musicians like Mick Burns or Virgil Donati were his personal local heroes. Once he joined Taramis, with Joel, Robbo and Dan, many bands moved up the bill as supporting acts. (by Cath Brown, Dave's sister)
