Swedish singer, born July 10, 1951 in Luleå. She grew up in Luleå and formed the girl band Chics there as a 14-year-old. In 1969 she came second in Swedish Radio's pop band competition with the band Ålen & Co, in which Björn Sjöö, Dan Bergman, Rolf Hedberg, Mats Danell, Hans and Nils Rinander and Lars Lundqvist were also members. In 1972, Rosén became a member of the then formed music group Anton Svedbergs Swängjäng, which was part of the progg music movement. The following year, Ted Ström, a former member of Contact, moved to Luleå and Kjell Sundvall, who was then active in the music movement, brought him together with Maria Rosén. This was the start of the music group Norrbottens Järn, which released two music albums on the Luleå - based record company Manifest, before the split in 1977. Maria Rosén then moved to Malmö and entered Skurup Folk High School in 1978. Two years later, she returned to Malmö, where she studied bassoon at the Malmö Academy of Music until 1986. She was also part of a jazz / song group that composed Stig Dagerman's daily notes and toured throughout Sweden. She was also active as a theater musician, including at Helsingborg City Theater and Norrbotten Theater. She wrote her first song in 1988 and has since been active as a singer in her own name. She has lived in Stockholm since the mid-1990s. In 2003, she released the music album "Flavill" with mainly her own material. In recent years, she has also participated in some gigs with a reunited Norrbottens Järn.
