In 1985 he won a scholarship and moved to Vienna, Austria, to round off his composition studies at the Conservatory of Music and Performing Arts. Since 1989 he has travelled assiduously to India, where he has studied classical Indian music with S.B. Shrivastava. In Calcutta in 1995 he was initiated into the playing of the sarod (a 25-stringed Indian instrument) with Shyamal Nath, a disciple of Master Ali Akbar Khan. He worked for the companies Sintonía and ADV as composer and music producer for the AV world. In 1990 he founded Taxi Records, an independent recording label to promote almost-unknown Spanish music of great artistic value.
