Greek singer born in Hamburg, Germany. Athena liked to sing from a very young age. She joined a children's choir, played flute and engaged in dance and ballet for 7 years. She begun her career at the age of 10 when she took part in a talent competition in Germany and won the first prize. Shortly after, she released a 45-rpm record, and another record at age 13. At the age of 16, she signed a contract with the company TELDEC and created the pop group "Creative Connection" which, with the help of Marino Marinelli (manager of "Modern Talking"), immediately became known throughout Europe. At the end of the 80's the group broke up and she moved permanently to Greece pursuing a solo career. Her first recording participation is on the album "Ta 10 dekaria 2" where she participates in two songs, while the following year her first complete personal record is released by Sony Music Greece entitled "Den se fovame sex (I'm not afraid of you sex)". After an absence of five years she returns in 1996 with the album "As tous na lene (Let them say)" from which many songs became hits such as "Gine fotia", "Afto ine agapi" as well as the self-titled... In 1998 her third album is released album entitled "Ime gineka (I'm a woman)" from which also many songs became hits. After again an absence of 5 years, she returns again, releasing a maxi single with the title "Pligose me" with the song of the same name becoming a hit as well as the song "Aporo" which was also accompanied by an eccentric video clip. This is also the last CD she has released so far, since after that she retired from the music industry to devote herself to motherhood and family. In 2019, after 15 years of absence, she returned by releasing a new song entitled "Thema chronou (A matter of time)" and making some selective appearances in clubs. During the years of her career, Athena collaborated with many big names of Greek music such as: Yannis Poulopoulos, Tolis Voskopoulos, Lefteris Pantazis, Antipas, Konstantina, George Gerolymatos, Katerina Stanisi, Litsa Diamantis, Vassilis Terlegkas, Thanos Kalliris , Christos Dantes, and many others.
