Barry Noble was born 10.9.1943 in Burton Latimer, Northants. His father played Banjo and Clarinet in a Jazz band in his younger days and this obviously influenced Barry's interest in music. At the age of 16 Barry sang at dances all over the Midlands with his backing group The Sapphires. He has two younger brothers John and David. Barry's first record release was "I Can't Forget" on the MCA label arranged and produced by Mike Leander. Barry's most successful single was "I've Got My Eyes On You" on Columbia Records. He did five major TV shows with this record. It was produced by John Burgess who has produced hits for Manfred Mann, Peter & Gordon, Freddie & The Dreamers, David & Jonathon, Phillip Goodhand Tait, Mat & Paul Jones, Monroe and Ken Dodd & The Pipkins. John was Barry's producer for two years at Abbey Road Studios. Barry represented England at song festivals in Poland and Yugoslavia sharing the bill with Joan Baez, Kiki Dee and Dave Berry. Barry made 4 TV appearances in Yugoslavia including his own show. He also made TV guest spots on shows in Belguim and Holland and did radio shows at Hilvesum Holland with the famous Metropole Orchestra and the Skymaster Big Band. He made many BBC live broadcasts on Radio 2 backed by Fearns Brass Foundry. He was also the first solo singer to appear on Colour TV when he had his own 30 minute show on "Colour Me Pop" BBC TV 2 backed by Fearns Brass Foundry.
