Georg Lohmann

German trombonist and composer (02/23/1899 - 02/24/1980), he was a student of the well-known Berlin virtuoso of this instrument, Paul Weschke. From 1930 to 1940 and after the Second World War he played in the Radio-Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (RSB) and in well-known dance orchestras (Etté, Dobrind, etc.) and for the UFA. Lohmann wrote a number of solo pieces for his instrument, which he later published. Of these miniatures, the Bayerische Polka achieved the greatest popularity.
