Liya Mogilevskaya

Lia Mogilevskaya (February 14, 1927 - April 26, 2021) - Russian pianist and concertmaster. In 1951 she graduated from the Leningrad Conservatory in piano with M. Ya. Khalfin, since the same year she has been an accompanist of the Leningrad Conservatory, since 1955 - the Leningrad Maly Opera and Ballet Theater, since 1965 - the Bolshoi Theater. Honored Worker of Culture of the RSFSR (1976). In 1977-1979, Lia Mogilevskaya taught at the Moscow Conservatory (department of accompanist skills). For more than thirty years Lia Mogilevskaya was the leading concertmaster of the Bolshoi Theatre, mentor of many famous singers. Together with outstanding conductors, directors, artists, she took an active and direct part in the creation of a large number of opera productions.
