Moussa Fadera

Swedish drummer, born on March 31, 1981 in Skarpnäck, Södermanland. Moussa Fadera listened much to bands and artists such as [a144998], Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin in his early teens. How those drums sounded on the recordings from the ’60s and ’70s really attracted him. In his early twenties he started listening to jazz and got really inspired by drummers like Max Roach, [a257251], Art Taylor, Frankie Dunlop, and Elvin Jones. Since about the year 2005, he has been playing and travelling through Europe and the U.S. and with artists such as Freddie Redd, and mostly with the The Amazing (2). Playing with the The Amazing (2) gives him a lot of freedom to improvise but he tries not to separate the different genres too much. He therefore basically use the same drums and cymbals in a jazz setting as when playing in any other situation to get the specific sound that he likes.
