Κώστας Χατζηδουλής

Kostas Hatzidoulis was a researcher, producer, writer and lyricist. A deep connoisseur and lover of folk and rebetiko, he dedicated his entire life to research and the production of records and books. As Kostas Ernanis, he wrote lyrics for many songs. Born in 1946 in Piraeus with family roots from Mani and Greek Asia Minor, Hatzidoulis (re-)introduced early rebetiko stars to the general public in the 1970s, producing many compilations. The writer and journalist Dimitris Psathas gave him the nickname Rakosillektis. Hatzidoulis died in 2019.
