B.Z.

"B.Z." is actually Joanne (2). Her record company decided it would be more marketable to release "Jackie" as "B.Z. featuring Joanne" (they were right as it turns out, "Jackie" became a huge hit). "B.Z." is apparently derived from Blue Zone (4), the group that originally released "Jackie" in 1988. (Joanne's second single was also released as "B.Z. featuring Joanne"; while on her third single she was credited as "Joanne B.Z." then dropped the "B.Z." entirely....)
