"Günther Brausinger was born as Günther Jeroschewitz on August 5th, 1930 in the city of Stolp/Pomerania. In 1936, he come to Elbing in East Prussia. At the end of the war he had to leave that city and come to Western germany where he finished college and started to study music teaching in Hamburg (from 1050 to 1953). He also graduated in classical philology for teaching in the secondary school service. At present he teaches Music and Latin at the Blankenese Upper School for boys in Hamburg. Günther Brausinger is the son of a protestant minister and started to play the organ as a boy. During the years of the war from his eleventh to his fourteenths year he did the professinal organist's job during church services in Elbing. He is a versatile and experienced organist."
