Bob Matthews is a jazz double bassist. He was the original bass player with Sérgio Mendes & Brasil '66. In addition he has played in the Willie Bobo Band, the Woody Herman Band, and the Tex Beneke-Glen Miller Band, among others. He has also performed and worked with Duke Ellington, Errol Garner, Roger Kellaway, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Sammy Davis Jr., Tony Bennett and Al Jarreau, to mention a few.
